Since a young age I have been involved in various sports and activities – To keep it short and sweet, I spent about 15 years of my childhood into adolescence working with horses, competing at county level in showjumping and studied a BA in Equine Business Management. A turn of events led me away from the equine industry and since my early twenties I have worked in different industries (marketing, photography/events, music) and now work as a Personal Trainer with 3 years experience working in a gym environment and also as a freelance PT alongside my work as a musician/performer. For the past 10 years I have trained in Kickboxing (10th grading Black on Brown, weapons & sparring) and have recently become an Assistant Coach for my Kickboxing Club.
From a young age I have struggled with low self esteem, lack of confidence and self belief, weight issues, depression and anxiety and over the years have managed to learn how to manage, live my life and have used fitness as a way to feel better in myself. I love training in kickboxing, self defence, lifting weights and generally keeping my mind and body strong.
My aim is to educate and inspire others to develop a healthy lifestyle and feel better about themselves. I am passionate about encouraging and supporting my clients to eat healthier, think healthier and live a happier life with improved confidence.
My approach is to make exercise and training fun but challenging, tailored specifically to your goals and fitness level. Everyone has different needs and different ways they like to be ‘coached’ – this is something I’m very aware. If you want to lose weight, tone up, build muscle, get stronger, feel more confident about yourself or just have a bit more direction and motivation to get you to where you want to be, give me a shout, I would love to help!
